Founded in 2005 through the collaboration between Walter Biondani and Davide Panizza, the Pop X audiovisual project has grown and evolved thanks to the active involvement of new members over the years, including Niccolò, Luca, Pietro, Laura, and Andrea. Since 2005, Pop X has gathered fans everywhere, performing in a wide range of contexts and becoming one of the defining names of the it-pop phenomenon, while always maintaining a strong electronic — and at times experimental — edge.
Before the release of Lesbianitj in 2016—an album that turned Pop X into a cult project and prompted Bomba Dischi to begin promoting it—only the visionary support of Dischi Di Plastica (Camillas) had backed Pop X. In 2018, they released Musica per Noi, an album performed live across Italy and beyond, including an opening show for Phoenix in Paris.
In June 2019, Nothing Hill was released in a limited cassette edition and on all digital platforms, a concept album dedicated to Black music. In spring 2020, the album Antille arrived, followed—due to the pandemic—by a solo tour and later by another album created in collaboration with Romanian musician Iioana, ENTER SANDWICH, which was also remixed by several emerging names from the Italian hyperpop scene as ENTER SANDWICH REMIX.
Pop X later announced the release of a new album, ANAL HOUSE, scheduled for May 5, coinciding with the start of their European tour with dates in Paris, Berlin, London, and Brussels.
In 2024, Balla coi Lupi nella Stalla was released, an album that further solidified Pop X’s success and brought them on tour through major Italian clubs, where almost every date sold out.
In summer 2025, they will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the project and the 10th anniversary of Best Of with the FINALMENTE NUDY Summer Tour across Italy.
At the beginning of 2026, Pop X will embark on Live in Europe, revisiting their repertoire from the very beginning up to today.
