Rancore (Tarek Iurcich -Rome, 1989), is an Italian rapper who began his career at the age of 14, performing at jam sessions,
high school concerts, and freestyle competitions. After several independent releases, including the album SEGUI ME
(2006), he started collaborating with DJ Myke in 2009, releasing the EPs ACUSTICO (2010) and ELETTRICO (2011).
In 2012, he gained nationwide recognition by competing on MTV's freestyle talent show Spit, where he won the opening episode alongside Clementino.
That same year, he released the album SILENZIO, widely regarded as one of the finest Italian rap albums of its time. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous artists, including Marracash, Dargen D'Amico, and Big Fish. In 2015, he concluded his long-standing partnership with DJ Myke by releasing the critically acclaimed EP S.U.N.S.H.I.N.E.. Also in 2015, Rancore began delivering a wide range of lectures, seminars, and workshops across Italy, particularly in schools and creative writing programs. During these events, he explored his distinctive artistic approach to rap, which he coined "HermeticHipHop."
In 2018, he returned with the album MUSICA PER BAMBINI, for which he also served as musical director. The album was
followed by a highly successful nationwide tour. In 2019, he performed at the Festival di Sanremo alongside Daniele
Silvestri with the song ARGENTOVIVO. The track received the prestigious Mia Martini Critics Award, the Lucio Dalla Press Room Award, the Sergio Bardotti Award for Best Lyrics, and later the Targa Tenco for Best Song. In 2020, Rancore returned to the Sanremo competition with EDEN, earning the Sergio Bardotti Award for Best Lyrics for the second consecutive year.
On April 15, 2022, he released his new studio album XENOVERSO, preceded by the trilogy of singles LONTANO 2036, X AGOSTO 2048, and ARKANO 2100. The album achieved significant commercial success in both sales and streaming and was supported by a 30-date national tour. It was also featured at major cultural events, including the Premio Strega
Poesia, Più Libri Più Liberi, the Turin International Book Fair (Salone del Libro), and many others.
During the 2025–2026 academic year, Rancore's work became part of Italy's national school curriculum. The lyrics of ARKANO 2100 were included in the fourth-year high school history book Generazioni / Riforme e rivoluzioni (1650–1900), with a dedicated page analyzing the song.
On March 20, 2026, he released FANFOLE, the lead single from his new album TAREK DA COLORARE, which was released on April 3, 2026. After an extensive summer tour that took him across Italy, Rancore announces his first European tour, set to kick off in November 2026.
